The riad was built in the 18th Century. It has an exceptional location in the tranquil and secure Ksour neighborhood. Steeped in history, this area was once home to the palaces of the viziers - political advisors to the Sultans.

* The riad is a short 2-minute walk from the vibrant Jemaa el-Fnaa square, the bustling souks, and the city's main street. Many Marrakech excursions depart from Jemaa el-Fna Square, making it a convenient location to join your tour.

* This prime location allows you to easily explore the intricate alleys of the souks, returning for refreshing naps and leisurely cups of tea on the rooftop.

Breakfast

* Enjoy a delicious Moroccan breakfast served daily between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Breakfast is served in the sunny courtyard. When it rains, it is served in the dining room.

* The breakfast menu changes every day and is served to each guest based on their arrival day.

*If you have any allergies or dietary requirements (vegan, gluten free, etc.), please let us know well in advance. Non-regular items, such as gluten-free, lactose-free milk, etc. are not readily available in the Medina; therefore, we cannot provide them on short notice.

* Planning an early morning adventure or catching a flight? Simply let us know in advance (before 3 p.m.), and we'll gladly prepare a convenient box of pastries for you to enjoy on the go.

Moroccan Delights:

* Our team can also prepare traditional Moroccan meals upon request, allowing you to experience the unique flavors of the region.

Slow Living

We believe in the soothing rhythm of slow living and the power of clean, nourishing food to nurture both body and soul. That's why we strive to create an experience that embodies these values.

Fresh, local ingredients: Whenever possible, we utilize seasonal fruits and vegetables grown on my small farm in Amizmiz and also sourced from trusted local organic producers.

We take pride in crafting our own breads, jams, nut butter, and sauces, ensuring the highest quality and authenticity.

We have installed the fastest available fiber optic lines (100 Mbps) and have strategically placed connectors to ensure optimal Wi-Fi coverage throughout the riad, including rooms, common areas, the courtyard, and the rooftop. However, being housed in a historic 18th-century structure with thick walls can occasionally lead to temporary signal fluctuations. Should you face any connectivity issues, please don't hesitate to let us know. We'll be happy to assist you and find a solution to ensure a smooth online experience. It is also important to remember that wifi in Morocco and Africa in general is not as lightning fast as in North America, Europe, and Asia.

At our riad, we prioritize sustainability and guest comfort.

* We only use handmade textiles made from 100% natural cotton or wool.

* Eco-Conscious: We strive to minimize our environmental impact by using high-quality, shower gel and shampoo, glass bottles instead of plastic, and opting for sustainable practices whenever possible.

* The Mediterranean region, including Morocco, faces water scarcity.  We're committed to sustainable practices, so to minimize water usage without compromising your comfort, we offer full room cleaning every 3 days for extended stays.  We'll provide daily towel and trash removal to keep your room fresh.  If you prefer daily full cleaning, simply let us know, and we'll be happy to arrange it.

Access to the Riad

To ensure a smooth arrival, we'll provide keys for both your room and the main entrance. The riad manager will demonstrate how to use the main door key upon check-in.

Please note that the main door should remain unlocked for easy access throughout your stay. There's no curfew, so feel free to come and go as you please.

In case of misplaced keys or needing further assistance with the main door, kindly message the riad manager directly. We kindly request avoiding knocking on the door, especially during evenings and nights, to ensure the comfort of other guests.

Local Laws

* To ensure a peaceful and secure environment for all our guests, kindly be advised that inviting outside guests to the riad after 6 PM is not permitted. This policy aligns with local regulations and helps maintain a safe and restful atmosphere for everyone.

Friendly Request to Guests

Comfort and Efficiency:

* To conserve energy, please turn off the air conditioner when you leave the room for extended periods, like during the day or evening. Closing windows and doors when using the air conditioner helps maintain the desired temperature and efficiency.

Lights:

* To save energy, please turn off the lights in your room and in the hallway before retiring for the night.

Bedding:

* We strive to make the beds as comfortable as possible. However, please understand that the softness of a mattress remains a subjective matter. Mattresses in Morocco tend to be on the firmer side.

Towel Use:

* To maintain the quality of towels, please avoid using them to remove makeup, henna tattoos, ink, dyes, and other non-removable substances.

Honesty and Kindness:

* We kindly request that you inform us if any furniture is damaged or linens are stained during your stay.

* We value your satisfaction and appreciate you letting us know of any concerns you might have. Communication is a two-way street; if you don't say anything, how are we supposed to know? This allows us to address them promptly and ensure you have a wonderful stay. We're always happy to listen and help!

* We appreciate you taking the time to consider leaving a review! Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us, helping us improve and ensure future guests have a fantastic experience. We understand that sometimes things don't go exactly according to your expectations, and we encourage you to share your honest feedback. If you encounter any issues during your stay, please reach out to us directly so we can address them. However, we kindly ask that you keep your review respectful and focus on the factual aspects of your experience. We strive to create a welcoming environment for all, and comparing us to other riads, assuming bad will and ill intentions, using negative language towards our staff, or nitpicking minor details can be hurtful and misleading to others. Thank you for your understanding and kindness!
